The Institution of Highways & Transportation has published its latest guidance on Collision Prevention and Reduction.

The new guideline has been built around a framework of five elements: data, structure, systems, finance and monitoring - all set within a clear policy setting. The elements are illustrated with almost 30 specific examples of good practice. The document has been designed for use by local authorities, consultants and road safety auditors.

This important guideline will soon become the CPR ‘bible’ and be used by all professionals who are involved in reducing the number of casualties on Britain’s roads.

We organised, in association with GreenSafe, some full-day seminars to help the profession get to grips with the ideas outlined in the guidance:

In association with:

www.greensafe.co.uk

  • 4 December 2007 - Winchester
  • 16 January 2008 - Pontypridd
  • 24 January 2008 - Bolton
  • Our speakers all contributed to the IHT Guideline. In particular Greensafe’s Mike Mounfield, the Managing Editor, gave two presentations.

We will arrange further seminars if there is sufficient demand.  Please contact us (without obligation) if you would be interested in attending a future CPR event.
