Road Safety Audit (RSA) involves the application of safety principles to ‘engineer out’ potentially unsafe features in new road schemes, improvements to existing roads, traffic management schemes and major maintenance projects.

The guidance published by the UK Government in 2003 has been adapted and expanded by practitioners to suit specific circumstances and we now need to ensure that all Auditors are aware of the current thinking on all aspects of RSA.

We held successful seminars in March and September 2007 and undertook the administration of the Inaugural SoRSA Conference in 2008. We intend to hold at least one seminar in 2009 promoting the updated guideline - please contact us if you are interested in receiving advance information - without obligation.
